BULLET POINTS

Prior Weeks Retail Sales were hurt by bad weather:
Goldman year-onyear same store sales of +1.4% is the weakest reading  since May.
Redbook year over year sales change: 2.5% vs 2.8% prior.

Bad weather also hurts housing starts:
Level: Prior:0.553m Est: 0.550m Act:0.529m
But Building permits were up 20%


4Q Earnings: 23 companies reported earnings today. 19 of them had earnings that were equal to or above expectations.
